Ah technology, exactly how I like you, yet you still regularly let me down.
Our sky Q system was installed on the 15th April 2016. On the 21st March 2017 it stopped allowing us gain access to to our pay channels as well as recordings with an error message about pairing with the checking out card.
This was (un?)coincidentally the day we had a sky engineer round to look at one of the tiny boxes that kept dropping its connection.
Bad Box
A few days as well as a number of phone phone calls later (one nearly an hour long) as well as we were no additionally on. A new sky card published out to us failed to repair the problem as well as lastly an engineer called as well as ended up having to replace the box. By this stage a week had passed.
Could Do Better
As lots of sky clients know, getting a new box is a huge offer since you lose whatever you’ve recorded.
Probably worse than that though is the truth that you lose all your series links (season passes) too. however with our DVRs now linked to broadband, why on earth don’t sky backup at least these Series links to try to ease a few of the pain in setting whatever back up again?

We were originally used a refund of just over £9 for all this inconvenience. It took yet one more individual phone phone call as well as requesting a manager to get this to just over £40 – that’s still less than a single months expense however, so barely generous.
Progress?
A year back sky were keen to point out that the new Q system was just the start of an entire new platform.
But besides the release of the accompanying phone app (that must have been there at introduce anyway) as well as some minor software application updates where are the new features?
We still like sky Q, however come on guys, begin backing up our Series links as well as roll out some updates like Netflix as well as Amazon video apps for users.
